VisionGuard Desktop Support

VisionGuard Desktop helps Mac users follow a screen-break rhythm with a compact timer, configurable prompts, local analytics, and privacy-first settings. Core timer, overlay, settings, widget, and local analytics behavior works without an account.

Quick setup checks

• Make sure VisionGuard is running from the menu bar.
• Open Settings to confirm your work interval, break interval, notifications, and sound cue preferences.
• Use the protection level control to choose how strongly break prompts should be enforced.
• Set a short task label if you want the timer and widget to reinforce what you are focusing on.

Focused work timer

The main timer shows your current phase, remaining time, and the next break action from a compact macOS interface.

Break overlay

Break prompts can be configured to match your preferred level of structure, from lighter reminders to stricter follow-through modes.

Local analytics

The Today panel shows completed breaks, skipped breaks, longest work block, streak, and breaks shown. Use Reset local analytics to clear this history without changing timer settings.

Plan and purchases

Purchase options, Restore Purchases, and Redeem Code use Apple's App Store purchase system. If a purchase is not reflected after reinstalling, open Settings and use Restore Purchases.

Troubleshooting

• If a notification does not appear, confirm native notifications are enabled in VisionGuard and macOS notification settings.
• If the timer does not match your expected rhythm, reopen Settings and check the configured work and break intervals.
• If analytics look stale, restart the app and verify whether local analytics events are still present. You can reset local analytics from Settings.
• If a purchase or restore action takes longer than expected, wait briefly and try Restore Purchases again from the Plan section.
