Terms of Use
VisionGuard Desktop Terms of Use
Effective date: July 26, 2026
VisionGuard Desktop is distributed through the Mac App Store and licensed to you under Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement ("Standard EULA"). By downloading, installing, or using VisionGuard Desktop, including any auto-renewable subscription offered within the app, you agree to be bound by the Standard EULA in full.
Governing agreement
VisionGuard Desktop does not use a custom license agreement. Your license is governed entirely by Apple's Standard EULA, available at apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula. If anything on this page appears to conflict with the Standard EULA, the Standard EULA controls.
Summary of key terms
This section summarizes the Standard EULA for convenience. It is not a substitute for the full agreement linked above.
- The app is licensed to you, not sold. Apple grants your license to use it on Apple-branded devices you own or control.
- You may not copy, reverse-engineer, decompile, or create derivative works of the app except as permitted by applicable law.
- The app is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranty of any kind, to the maximum extent permitted by law.
- Liability for damages arising from use of the app is limited as described in the Standard EULA, subject to your local consumer protection laws.
- Your license terminates automatically if you fail to comply with the Standard EULA's terms.
- The agreement is governed by the laws of the State of California, except where local law requires otherwise for residents of the EU, Switzerland, Norway, or Iceland.
Subscriptions and purchases
VisionGuard Desktop offers optional auto-renewable subscriptions and one-time purchases (such as a Pro plan) that unlock additional features. All purchases are billed and processed by Apple through the App Store and are subject to Apple's Media Services Terms and Conditions in addition to the Standard EULA. Subscription price, billing frequency, and renewal terms are disclosed at the point of purchase in the App Store. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and can be managed or cancelled in your Apple ID account settings. Refunds are handled by Apple according to Apple's own policies, not by VisionGuard Desktop directly.
Acceptable use
You agree to use VisionGuard Desktop only for its intended purpose: personal screen-break timing and related wellness support. You agree not to reverse-engineer, decompile, or tamper with the app beyond what the Standard EULA permits, not to use the app in any way that violates applicable law, and not to attempt to circumvent App Store purchase or licensing controls.
No medical claims
VisionGuard Desktop provides behavioral screen-break support and general wellness timing. It is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition. Use of the app does not guarantee any health outcome. See the Privacy Policy for how your data is handled.
Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated as VisionGuard Desktop changes or as Apple updates the Standard EULA. Material changes will be reflected on this page before an updated app version is submitted for review.
